Since 1958, RMC has been dedicated to the manufacture and repair of gears, combining almost seven decades of experience with a continuous commitment to innovation, precision and quality.

Over the years, we have evolved into a specialised company, with the capacity to meet the needs of different industrial sectors. We manufacture and repair straight and helical gears from 6 mm to 1000 mm in diameter, covering modules from 0.25 to 20 and diametral pitch from 48 to 2. We also have the capacity to manufacture bevel gears from 20 mm to 800 mm in diameter, in modules from 1 to 20, as well as to cut teeth on straight racks up to 1500 mm in length in a single operation.

We have also expanded our activity into the motorsport sector, with the development and commercialisation of components such as limited-slip differentials and gearboxes. We currently manufacture gearboxes for different types of competition, with gears produced entirely in our facilities, which have demonstrated excellent results and high performance in various competitions.

The company is undergoing a continuous modernisation process, based on investment in new equipment, the improvement of manufacturing processes and the training of our employees. In addition to the diversity of our machinery and a good stock of raw materials, this investment, particularly in gear cutting, will allow us to increase production capacity, reduce delivery times and, at the same time, improve levels of precision and quality, ensuring an increasingly efficient response to our customers’ needs.

Our growth strategy is based on valuing our people. It is our employees, with their experience, technical knowledge and dedication, who make it possible to respond to our customers’ challenges every day. Many of them have been with the company for many years, helping to preserve knowledge acquired over decades, which is fundamental to the quality of our work. At the same time, we invest in the training and development of new generations. We are proud to have a team capable of combining experience with the demands of the future. We value teamwork, commitment and doing things well. We know that behind every gear, every repair and every solution we deliver are people, and we trust in them.

Over the years, we have built a diverse customer base, who rely on components that are essential to the operation of their businesses in sectors such as the cement industry, transport, machinery manufacturing for the baking industry, and plastic and glass moulds. Motorsport currently plays an increasingly important role in our strategy, allowing us to expand our activity into new markets, namely Sweden, France and Spain.

The company is led by Nuno Santo and currently has 25 employees. In 2014, RMC Engrenagens underwent a major renovation of its facilities, significantly increasing its production and administration areas. We strengthened our response capacity, improved working conditions and provided an increasingly close and efficient service to our customers.
